A new chapter in North Dakota history starts next week when Gov. John Hoeven resigns his post as governor.
Hoeven and Gov.-designate Jack Dalrymple will deliver remarks to state lawmakers during a transition ceremony at 11:30 a.m. CT Tuesday in the House Chamber of the state Capitol.
During the ceremony, Dalrymple and Lt. Gov.-designate Drew Wrigley will be sworn in to their new roles. A receiving line and reception will be in Memorial Hall immediately following the ceremony.
A reception will also be offered in Fargo from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. CT Thursday (Dec. 9 )Â at the Ramada Plaza & Suites.
Dalrymple will present the 2011-2013 executive budget to lawmakers at 10 a.m. CT Wednesday (Dec. 8 ) in the House Chamber of the state Capitol building.
